The North Blockhouse (1798) plunges visitors into an immersive, multimedia presentation allowing them to step back in time to the War of 1812 and experience the confusion, fear, and drama of the British capture of Fort Mackinac on July 17, 1812.
More than three stairs lead to the North Blockhouse, making accessibility difficult for some visitors. An accessible version of this program is available on the west side of this building.
